As a licensed, insured, and fully compliant contractor, we take the responsibility of ensuring homeowners are protected from those who elect not to obtain the necessary license very seriously.

You may ask why is it important to us..

As a licensed contractor, we have been engaged by homeowners who have been notified by code enforcement of noncompliance; in one case, 3 years after the work was completed. Threatening fines until the noncompliance is remedied.

Here is an example from a few years ago. The neighbors called Code Enforcement and filed a complaint for a project without a permit.

Contracting without a license in the state of Florida is illegal.

“Hiring an unlicensed contractor is a violation of Florida Statute 455.228 and is subject to a fine of up to $5,000.”

Many kitchen and bathroom remodelers, and outdoor kitchen “contractors” do not have the required license for the services they offer.
Homeowners can be held responsible for work completed without the necessary permit.
